Fulfilled Theology - Preterist

Discussion All Areas Of Systematic Theology

1. “I AM”
If you want to be using this in Greek, I guess the blind man is God as well (John 9:9)

2. “God”
In Hebrew, it is Elohim. Moses (Ex. 4:16; 7:1); judges (Ps. 82:6); and angels (Ps. 8:5) were called “god”. Therefore Jesus can be called Elohim (“god”) but not as Yahweh (“LORD”).

3. “Said He’s God”
So are the disciples as they are “one” with God (John 17:21-22).

4. “Lord”
Which Hebrew word referring to, “LORD” as Yahweh/Adonai or “Lord” as adoni? Either way will do. Yahweh/Adonai is the title of Deity and adoni never designates Deity. Jesus, Abraham, angels, etc. were called “Lord” but not “LORD”. One good example in Ps. 110:1.

The LORD (Yahweh God) says to my (David wrote) Lord (adoni/Jesus): "Sit at My right hand Until I make Your enemies a footstool for Your feet."

5. “Saviour”
The judges were called the saviors to their people (Judges 3:9, 15) through their God. Jesus was the Savior to his people through His Father. Without Father, Jesus would not save them.

6. “King”
So were the kings of Israel in the OT.

7. “Judge”
So were the judges in the OT.

Jesus, Moses, angels, prophets, priests, kings, etc. were the representatives of Yahweh God. His Son was a unique one but it does not mean he is Yahweh God because he had some limitation:

Contradiction between God (Yahweh) and Christ (Jesus):

GOD

1. God cannot be tempted (James 1:13).

2. God cannot die - He is immortal by nature (Ps. 90:2; 1 Tim. 6:16).

3. God cannot be seen by men (1 Tim. 6:16; Ex. 33:20).

4. God cannot sleep (Isa. 40:28).

5. God cannot be seen (Ex. 33:20; John 1:18; 1 John 4:12).

6. God knows everything (Isa. 46:9).

7. God is greater than His Son (John 14:28).

8. God is the only one true God (John 17:3).

9. God sent His Son (John 5:30, 36, 37; 6:38-44; 7:16).

10. God has all the authority according to His will (Luke 22:42; John 5:30).

11. God is the spirit (John 4:24).

12. God is all powerful (many passages).

13. God is the Father of Jesus (many passages).

14. God existed since the beginning (Gen. 1:1).

15. God gave all things to His Son (Matt. 28:18; 1 Cor. 15:24-28).

16. God was the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the OT (Gen 32:9; Ex. 3:6, 15-16; 4:5)

JESUS

1. Christ "was in all points tempted like as we are" (Heb. 4:14-15).

2. Christ died for three days (Mt.12: 40; 16:21).

3. Men saw Jesus and handled him (1 John 1:1).

4. Christ slept (Mark 4:37).

5. Christ was seen by many (In NT).

6. Christ grew in wisdom, learned obedience, and limited knowledge (Mark 13:32; Luke 2:52; Heb. 5:8; Rev. 1:1).

7. Christ said His Father is greater than him (John 14:28; 1 Cor. 3:23).

8. Christ said His Father is the only one true God (see above).

9. Christ was the sent one (see above).

10. Christ was doing His Father’s Will (see above).

11. Christ received the holy spirit in his baptism (Matt. 3:16-17; Mark 1:10-11; Luke 3:22).

12. Christ cannot do all powerful by himself without God (John 5:19).

13. Christ is the Son of God (more than 50 times).

14. Christ existed in Mary’s womb by the power of the holy spirit thru His Father (Matt. 1:18) and he was born (Matt. 2:1; Luke 1:35).

15. Christ received all things from His Father and then subjected to Him at the end in AD 70 (see above).

16. God (Yahweh) is the Father of Lord Jesus (Rom. 1:7; 15:6; 2 Cor. 1:3; Gal. 1:1; Eph. 1:17; Col. 1:3; 1 Thes. 1:1; 1 Thes. 1:1; 1 Peter 1:3).
